Events at the Vineyard
Our most recent event was the Kent Vineyard May Fair at Colliers Green Vineyard on Bank Holiday Monday, 31st May 2010.
It was a fun afternoon, the community of Kent and its surrounding area came to the vineyard for a small countryside fair, a chance to visit and explore the vineyard first introduced by the Tales from a Kent Vineyard blog.
The fair included a variety of artisan stalls, farmers market, Kent wine tasting and more attractions.

Phizzog Facepainters

She has hundreds of colourful and fun designs to work from and will paint your face just the way you like it. Le Solas Coinnle
Le Solas Coinnle (Gaelic; by the light of the candle) revives vintage teacups and tableware to create lightly scented Eco Soy candles. Raven Craft
The Raven Craft stand will be stocked with beautiful wooden items hand-decorated using the art of Pyrography (wood burning). There will be a wide range of items from key-rings, spoons and hair brushes to chopping boards and pots, alongside larger one-off pieces such as bowls, plates and driftwood. www.raven-craft.co.uk
The Kent Cider Co
The Kent Cider Co produces its award winning range of cider in the traditional method of hand pressing. The best, ripest apples are picked from their spray free orchard in Faversham, Kent where a number of large heritage apple trees still grow. They aim to seek the subtle difference in flavours between apple varieties and make an artisan range of ciders that celebrate these differences. Steve Dell Woodturning
Started by nature finished by hand in Hartley Kent by woodturning artist Steve Dell. Each piece I make is totally unique and made with timber obtained from a local Kent tree surgeon, a large part of the fascination of woodturning is in exposing the treasures that lay beneath the bark. I love wood with character and often look for pieces with wild grain and natural flaws which may well become a feature in a particular piece. English Wine Tasting hosted by Kent Vineyard
The Kent Vineyard team will be hosting an English wine tasting stall, with the opportunity to try wines made from varieties that grow in the Colliers Green Vineyard. We do not have our own wines yet, so you'll be sampling the wines of other English vineyards.
Tingle Tongue - Kent Vineyard's Nettle Beer
Also available at the English wine tasting stall will be Tingle Tongue, Kent Vineyard's Nettle Beer; a refreshing brew with a hint of lemon and ginger made from the young nettle shoots picked in April from within the vines.
